Privacy Policy

The short version
Taxify runs on your phone. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics. Nothing you record is sold, shared for marketing, or shown to anyone but you.
Your account
Taxify creates an anonymous account the first time you open it. It holds a random ID and no personal details. You can add a recovery email later so your trips come back if you change phone or reinstall. That is the only reason we would hold your email address.
What you enter
Your driver name, licence plate and vehicle type, and optionally a permit number, phone number, email, national ID number and a profile photo. They appear on your own profile and receipts. They are never published or given to anyone.
Location
While a trip is running, Taxify reads your location to measure distance, including when the app is in the background or the screen is off. Those points are saved with the trip so you can see the route afterwards. Location is not read when no trip is running, and it is never shared with a passenger, a dispatcher or anyone else.
Your trips
Start and end time, distance, moving and waiting time, the rates applied, the fare, the currency, any pickup and drop-off you name, and the cash received and change given.
Where it is kept
On your phone, and in your own account on our database, which is hosted by Supabase. Access rules limit every row to the account that created it.
Who else is involved
Supabase provides the database and sign-in. Expo delivers app updates. Apple and Google distribute the app and provide the map drawn on a trip's detail screen. No one else receives your data.
Deleting your data
Removing the app deletes everything held on the phone. To have the account and its trips erased from the server as well, email us and it will be done within 30 days.
Children
Taxify is a tool for working drivers and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
